You can record up to 60 seconds. For best results, keep recordings short (5-15 seconds) as longer GIFs create very large files. Focus on capturing the essential action.
Lower the frame rate (10-15 fps works well), reduce output dimensions, choose medium quality, and keep recordings short. Each factor significantly affects final file size.
10-15 fps is ideal for most screen recordings. Use higher rates (20-30 fps) for smooth animations or gaming. Lower rates work fine for static content with occasional changes.
GIF format doesn't support audio. The screen to GIF recorder captures only visual content. For audio, consider recording as video first, then converting to GIF.
Selected file contents are processed in your browser without being sent to an application upload endpoint. Loading the site, fonts or processing libraries may still require network requests.
Modern browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Edge support screen recording. Safari has limited support. For best results, use Chrome or Edge with the latest updates.
